It can be difficult to say goodbye to summer -- but helping make it a little more palatable is the anticipation of the 12th Annual Harvestfest in downtown Billings under Skypoint.

It is one of the most anticipated events of October in the city.

This year's Harvestfest is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.

This autumn festival features arts and crafts booths, Farmer's Market produce, food trucks, children's activities, a pumpkin pie baking contest, the Harvestfest Basket Raffle, and live entertainment, according to a news release from Downtown Billings.

Montana Brewing Company will host a beer truck with at least six seasonal pumpkin ales.

The pumpkin pie baking contest will take place at Broadway and Second Avenue starting at 11 a.m. with the contest results announcement at 1 p.m.

All applicants must bring their pies to Skypoint by 10 a.m. the day of the festival. First, second, and third prize winners will be published on the Downtown Billings Facebook page.

Additionally, the Harvestfest Basket Raffle will feature baskets donated by downtown merchants and all proceeds go to the Downtown Billings Christmas decorations and Spare Change for Real Change.
