Spring has sprung and if you're planning to work in the yard this weekend, our friends at the website Clothesfreeinternational.com invite you to join them in celebrating 'World Naked Gardening Day' on Saturday.

Now in its 10th year, 'World Naked Gardening Day' is observed on the first Saturday of every May. According to the organizers, the holiday was created to encourage people to "tend their portion of the world's garden unclothed, as nature intended".

For those planning to participate in this year's celebration, here are a few helpful safety tips:

1. Exercise caution while working with weed whackers.

2. When bending over to uproot or plant your vegetables or flowers, try to insure that your family and friends aren't in the direct line of sight.

3. Keep chemicals away from any sensitive body parts.

4. Use plenty of sunscreen.

5. Watch out for insects, especially ants.
