Aerosmith will not be playing in Bristow, Va. tomorrow night as was initially scheduled. According to the groups AeroForceOne website, the band has postponed the performance as singer Steven Tyler is currently under doctor’s orders to refrain from playing in order to provide complete vocal rest.

The concert was due to take place at Jiffy Lube Live tomorrow evening, but has since been rescheduled for Aug. 12. Additional ticket information is available at Live Nation and via Aerosmith’s AeroForce One website.

Aerosmith has been touring this summer on the Global Warming trek with opening act Cheap Trick. After announcing the tour in the spring, it looked as though a new album would be out this summer. However, just last week, the band pushed the ‘Music From Another Dimension‘ album to Nov. 6.

Tyler stated earlier this week that the glut of late summer releases led them to push the album back to the fall season. In the meanwhile, fans have been getting to enjoy the lead single, ‘Legendary Child.’
