Alvin Lee's untimely death on March 6 brought a premature end to a brilliant career. But fans will be treated to one last parting shot from the Ten Years After frontman when a posthumous live CD, fittingly titled 'The Last Show,' arrives on Oct. 1.

Recorded at Lee's final live performance -- in Raalte, Holland, on May 28, 2012 -- 'The Last Show' presents a 14-song concert that wasn't originally intended to be released, but Lee was reportedly so pleased with the way things went that he was planning to put it out when he passed away. The label promises "a beautifully packaged audio scrapbook documenting the culmination of a legend's career" featuring "plenty of photos of the show along with personal notes from his wife, band and fans, all of whom were at the show."

"Possibly my favorite memory of Alvin in recent years: to see him walking offstage in Raalte with his red Gibson slung to the side and a big grin on his face," recalled Lee's widow Evi in a press release about the album. "Not usually one to be easily satisfied with his live performances, he was exhilarated and proud of having given the crowd his best on that evening. He would have been very happy with this unadulterated authentic release of the show."
