Only one week removed from the 'American Horror Story: Asylum' season finale "Madness Ends," and we're still no closer to understanding just what those mysterious aliens were trying to accomplish, but that hasn't stopped us from looking forward to the "glamourous evil romance" of season 3! Following her acclaimed turn as simple nun turned-posessed deviant Sister Mary Eunice, Lily Rabe has been confirmed to join her 'Horror Story' alum for season 3. Get the latest on the next 'American Horror Story' inside!

Lily Rabe may have been a minor presence in the first 'American Horror Story,' but after her star-making turn in 'Asylum' as possessed nun Sister Mary Eunice, you didn't think series creator Ryan Murphy would leave her behind, did you? The showrunner revealed Rabe's return over Twitter this morning, saying, "So thrilled to announce Lily Rabe is onboard for American Horror Story Season Three! So talented, love her!"

Murphy didn't specify if Rabe's role would prove regular or recurring, but the star joins the bevy of 'American Horror Story' alum returning for the third outing, including Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and season 1 star Taissa Farmiga. Considering Dylan McDermott's season 2 casting was only announced the day of 'Asylum's' premiere, we can likely expect numerous additional announcements over the coming months.

Of the third season's focus, Murphy has only yet revealed that the year will be somewhat lighter, and funnier in tone, telling a "glamorous" modern horror story with a central romance shot in three different cities. Jessica Lange's role will be that of a "glamour cat leading lady," while Evan Peters will likely go back to playing a "sobbing psychopath."

Well, what say you? Are you excited to have Lily Rabe back for 'American Horror Story' season 3? Who from the past casts would you like to see return?
