“America’s Most Patriotic” Rock Band Completely Butchers National Anthem at Daytona 500

If you’re a glutton for punishment, check this out.  It is, quite possibly, the worst version of the “Star Spangled Banner” you will ever hear.

 

Not since Roseanne Barr’s infamous 1990 performance has our country’s national anthem been butchered so badly.  Madison Rising, the self proclaimed “Most Patriotic Rock Band in America”, is the group responsible for this massacre.  Their studio version of the Star Spangled Banner became a Youtube sensation last year, garnering over 5 million views and an invitation to perform live before Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona.  Sadly, they probably won’t be invited back next year.
