Here’s how things ended Saturday at the Billings Motorsports Speedway: In the B mods, a 16-year-old from Rapid City, S.D. took the checkered flag -- No. 716 Jake Diamond.

I asked Jake after the race if he was ready for a Late Model. He provided as smooth an answer as his driving. "I just want an A mod," he said.
