Billy Dukes

Billy Dukes' music background includes jobs as music director and night DJ at WQDR 94.7 in Raleigh, N.C.; writer for Recoil Magazine, a monthly out of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and writer for the Kalamazoo Gazette in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Western Michigan University graduate followed a girl to Raleigh in 2006 and wisely married her one year later. In 2014 they moved to Nashville where they now live with their two dogs, Daisy and Clementine, and theirs sons. In his free time, Billy enjoys playing and watching baseball, cycling and exploring nature.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Forced to Reroute Cruise Due to Hurricane Sandy

Lynyrd Skynyrd has rerouted their fan cruise due to Hurricane Sandy. The Simple Man cruise set sail on Saturday (Oct. 27) from a port in Miami, Fla. and will now head to Cozumel and not Key West and Great Stirrup Cay. The tweaking may not have avoided the storm's turbulence however.

Rolling Stones Announce 2012 London, New Jersey Concerts

After months of speculation, the Rolling Stones have finally announced four concerts to take place before the end of 2012. In the YouTube announcement (seen below) the group makes official long-rumored plans to play live before the end of their 50th year together. They'll play two dates in London in late November, and two dates in Newark, N.J. in mid-December.
