Michelle Rodriguez returns for 'Machete Kills' as Shé, Machete's revolutionary friend and fellow ass-kicker in the upcoming grindhouse-flavored sequel from Robert Rodriguez. In this new 30 second highlight and promotional reel, Rodirguez gets out some corny one-liners, like the cringe-worthy "I smell fish taco," and we get to see her fire off a few guns and do what a revolutionary does best. Hopefully we'll get more of these character-specific reels in the weeks to come -- especially now that we've gotten a brief glimpse at Amber Heard's character.
We've already seen a teaser trailer for 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' but we've known little about the voice cast this time around. During DreamWorks Animation's panel at Comic-Con this afternoon, the studio made a big casting announcement for the sequel, with actors Cate Blanchett, Kit Harington, and Djimon Hounson joining the line-up.
Oh, hello ... This is Colin Kaepernick, quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. For all of you who don't understand sports, just know that this guy throws a football and he's super sexy -- especially when he takes his clothes off for the ESPN Body Issue.
While we wait anxiously to see what Summit will show us at the 'Divergent' panel at Comic-Con this afternoon, the studio has gone ahead and released one juicy bit of information: in addition to the film's theatrical release, 'Divergent' will also get remastered for fancy-shmancy IMAX.
It's been in the works since last year, but 'Chronicle 2' doesn't seem to be making much traction. The sequel to the 2012 film, based on a script by Max Landis and directed by Josh Trank, seems to have encountered a new problem: Landis is no longer scripting the film, meaning that the sequel will not feature the original director or writer of the first film.
We're just a little over a week away from the release of 'The Wolverine,' and judging by the trailers, we're in for a much better time than 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' This new international TV spot continues the trend of highlighting Logan/Wolverine's trip to Japan, where an old friend promises he can remove the adamantium from our hero's body -- putting his life in more danger than it's ever been.
We're only a few weeks away from the release of 'Elysium,' Neill Blomkamp's highly-anticipated follow-up to his debut film, 'District 9.' In that film, Blomkamp created some pretty amazing and original tech and weaponry, and it seems that he's done the same for 'Elysium,' as displayed in the above video.
'The Wolverine' comes out in the next couple of weeks, so sexy leading man Hugh Jackman is promoting the crap out of it by doing his thing on the covers of several magazines. And for that? We are grateful.
We're still a couple of months away from the release of James Wan's 'Insidious Chapter 2' -- the first official trailer showed us that we're in for another spooky treat, and this first clip confirms that Wan is definitely up to his old scary tricks, with your favorite ghost hunters returning for another round with some sinister forces.
Not much is known about 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' Matt Reeves' sequel to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' but we do know it has a revolutionary aspect and that Caesar (Andy Serkis) will once again be front and center in this continuation of the ape saga. In anticipation of this week's Comic-Con panel for the film, Reeves revealed some details about his vision.
We've got even more David Fincher news for you today -- 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' sequel, 'The Girl Who Played with Fire,' is getting a rewrite from Fincher's 'Seven' scribe Andrew Kevin Walker, but it looks like Fincher might be too busy to helm the sequel thanks to 'Gone Girl.'
There's been a ton of casting speculation involved in David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel 'Gone Girl,' with names like Charlize Theron (who's starring in another Flynn adaptation, 'Dark Places') and Reese Witherspoon (who is producing the film but not starring) being tossed about, but now it looks like Fincher may have found his leading lady.
