I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).

The Moment At The Nile Rodeo That Made Me Proud To Live Here
Last night at The Nile Rodeo I had one of those "restore your faith in people" kind of moments that I just had to share.
I arrived just as things were getting started and, of course, had to hit the concessions stand before making my way to my seat...
Who is Haunting the Moss Mansion?
Here is my quick answer to, "Who is haunting the Moss Mansion?" Nobody. It's still strange to me when I encounter adults who are certain there are ghosts walking the earth. I have professed my disbelief in such things on several occasions and had people defend the existence of ghosts up to the point of yelling at me...
Tough Enough To Wear Pink Night At The Nile Rodeo, October 16th
That's our very own sales superstar, Frank, getting geared up for Friday night's (October 16) Tough Enough To Wear Pink night at the Nile Rodeo. This is a great way to show your support in the fight against breast cancer.
Most of us, myself included, have been affected by this disease...
Are You Dressing Up Your Pet this Halloween?
I've been to enough Pet-O-Ween's at Shipton's Big R to know that there are plenty of people in Billings who dress up their pet for Halloween. Last year, there were quite a few homemade costumes, some of which were extremely creative. For instance, the greyhound dressed as a Greyhound complete with the owner dressed as the driver took a lot of time and thought...
Great Yard Sale Find Equals a Weekend of ’70s Fun
My friend and almost family, Clayton Jordan, found a complete set of Lawn Darts (a.k.a. "Jarts") at a yard sale last week. For those of you who are perhaps too young to remember, the sale of this "toy" was banned in 1989 since they were proven to be potentially lethal...
Watch Monday Night Football and Help a Great Local Cause
This Monday, thousands of football fans in and around Billings will be watching the Giants versus Eagles game. If you're the type to head out to one of the local sports bars, you have a great opportunity to enjoy the game and know that 20 percent of what you spend is going to help local people in need...
YAM Offers Free Admission To Educators October 15
Since so many of us recognize that many teachers are both underpaid and under appreciated, it's nice when a free-for-teachers event comes along. Today, October 15, the Yellowstone Art Museum celebrates educators by giving them free admission...
Backflips and Beatdowns Returns October 24th
October 24th at MetraPark it's the return of Backflips and Beatdowns. MMA Fighters battle it out in the cage while insane motorcycle stunts are happening right over their heads. That sounds like something a couple of guys would dream up around a sports bar table in a conversation that starts with "You know what would be bad ass...
Fair Trade Market Comes to the Depot
If you're into handmade items, you might want to check out the Fair Trade Market this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Depot. These markets happen all over the country and allow artisans from predominantly impoverished nations to earn a living by selling their crafts at a fair wage...

The Most Exciting Thing I’ve Ever Seen at a Rodeo
I have been to quite a few rodeos in my day and have definitely seen some nail-biting action; most of which, of course, centers around bulls.
For me, the most exciting thing I ever saw wasn't a seven-second ride, but rather an event that didn't have any cowboys at all...
A Childhood Dream Comes to Billings Tomorrow
I grew up in the 80's and was somewhat of a game show junkie. If I was out sick from school, I'd be on the couch watching shows like Card Sharks, Sale of the Century, Wheel of Fortune, Hollywood Squares, Press Your Luck, Tic Tac Dough and, of course, the granddaddy of them all, The Price Is Right...
