I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).

This Hot Tub / Hammock Looks Perfect For Montana Winters
I'm usually not much for camping in the winter, but this thing might make things a little more pleasurable. It's a hot tub and a hammock all in one. It runs on propane and can be hooked up to a standard spigot, or you can use water from a natural water source...
“Super Lice” In Montana: What To Tell Your Kids
The term "Super Lice" has been given to a strain of lice that apparently have a mutation making them resistant to the typical over the counter treatments. They're no more of a health threat than regular lice, but they can be quite a bit more difficult to get rid of...
Billings Restaurants Where Kids Eat For Free (Or Almost Free)
I've been looking at some of the national websites that claim to tell you which restaurants have the best deals for parents with kids 12 and under, but most everything I've seen has been either incomplete or outdated so I thought I should start making some calls...
Down Goes The Crowne
Given the fact that a lot of the people I know still call the Crowne Plaza "The Sheraton", the recent re-branding from Crowne Plaza to Double Tree will likely not have a huge impact on the city. However, in the interest of keeping everyone informed, I thought I'd pass along what I saw today...
Buffalo Chip Passes At Tomorrow Night’s Bike Night!
This year's Buffalo Chip has a long lineup of great shows and The Hawk is giving away free passes tomorrow night during Billings Bike Night at the VFW, 4242 State Ave. As always, the party gets underway at 6 p.m. and Sam Talkington will be your host...
Dear Deer: Stop Eating My Tomatoes!
I live in a place that has a decent yard, but no room for a real garden. Since I rent, I also have some restrictions about using things like tomato cages or chicken wire to keep the critters out of the few plants I have room for. Yesterday, I had about 3 dozen tomatoes coming along nicely and a few peppers starting to come in...

Motorcycle Safety Classes Are A Smart Idea
It's been said that the difference between driving a car and riding a motorcycle is like the difference between watching a movie and being in a a movie. One trip to one of our Bike Nights and you can see that Billings has no shortage of motorcycle enthusiasts...
Is It Just Me, Or Are These Worse Than Usual?
So far this Summer I've sprayed no less than 6 nests full of things that sting. It was getting to the point where my kid didn't want to go outside and play. There were yellow jackets in the stone walkway, wasps in the gable ends and hornets down in the basement windows...
How Do You Deal With Work And Kids When School Is Out?
Summer vacation is only weeks away and once again, working parents will have to make arrangements to juggle child care with their work schedule.
I thought I'd ask around the office to see if any of the other parents had any recommendations and two of them brought up The Boys And Girls Club...
Bikers In Billings Remind People To Share The Road
Driving down 24th street today I saw a bunch of bikers holding signs advising people to "Look Three Times". Sounds like a smart plan to me. Montana is such a beautiful place to ride, but so many drivers seem to paint the bikes invisible...

Not only is Keith known for his death defying motorcycle acrobatics, but he's also a native Montanan. He was raised in Butte and has been riding since he was aged 9...
