Kris

I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).

Big Brother Is Watching And Listening In Billings Elevators

I work downtown in the Crowne Plaza and, like most employees, I must park in the city parking garage on First Avenue. There have definitely been occasions (at least three) when I have encountered some weirdness in the garage's elevator...

  • Wineries per capita
  • Liquor stores per capita
  • Drunk related tweets within the last week
  • Divorce rate

Keep in mind that, as a state, Montana ranks 6th in the U...

Who Does The Cooking in Your House?

Today is "National Men Make Dinner Day" which might have sounded funny a few decades ago, but now it just seems like "National No Big Deal I Do That All The Time Day"

I've only made the commitment to live with someone two times in my life and neither one of them were exactly Master Chefs, so I've done most of the cooking...

Free Business Etiquette Dinner for MSUB Juniors and Seniors

Some people think that the concept of etiquette is outmoded and irrelevant in most situations. Even as old-fashioned as I am, I would agree that the days of no one eating until the head of the household takes the first bite are pretty much over -- at least in the home setting...

Next month, on December 5th, many people will be taking the Polar Plunge into the icy cold waters of Lake Elmo. Participation takes a little bit of bravery, but last year more that $24,000 was raised for Special Olympics Montana, 60 percent of which stayed right here in Yellowstone County, the other 40 percent going to the state...
