Rick Roddam

I’m the idiot DJ from 3 to 7. I discovered rock music when my older brother brought home a mix-tape with AC/DC and Maiden. Twisted Sister was my favorite band in the fourth grade. My Top 5 Concerts are: Pink Floyd at Mile High Stadium, Tool at Coachella (Madonna was there too), Peter Gabriel, KISS Reunion Tour 97, and the Fleetwood Mac Reunion 97. The person I most admire is George Carlin. My favorite hobby is consumption. It’s always cool to hear from listeners, so feel free to send me your questions, comments, criticisms and suggestions : rick.roddam@townsquaremedia.com

Watching Phillip Rivers Pout Like a Toddler is One of Life’s Simple Pleasures

If you're a football fan, you already know that San Diego Chargers QB Phillip Rivers is a whiny little b@#$^. Admittedly, he's a helluva player and he's tough as nails.  He also acts like a spoiled 3 year old whenever he's on the field

24 Years Ago Today: Pearl Jam Plays Their First Show

I dig Pearl Jam as much as the next guy, but I have a few friends who worship them like some fans do with KISS, Rush, Zeppelin, the Beatles and Tool.  For them, today is PJ Day.

It was 24 years ago, on October 22nd, 1990, Pearl Jam performed for the first time under the name "Mookie Blaylock"

Travel Blog Pt. 2: Taking the Grunge Plunge in Seattle

As a child of the late 80's and early 90's, I was weened on hard rock and hair metal.  Then in high school, I heard a band named Alice in Chains that changed the way I appreciate music.  They built a bridge between the hard rock and metal I grew up with to the alternative and punk genres I would later discover and grow to love
