Big Sky Honor Flight Back in Billings Tonight
The eighth Big Sky Honor Flight flew out of Billings Logan International Airport with 79 more WWII veterans on Sunday, April 27th.The plane was filled with the veterans and support staff for a day and half at the monuments in Washington D.C. I was honored to fly with the vets last May.
Big Sky Honor Flight board member, Becky Hillier is on her 8th Honor Flight and she called into the Billings Morning News and said,
one of the most vivid memories that stands out from a WWII vets standpoint is the reception they receive as they arrive back in Billings.
Be part of the Big Sky Honor Flight excitement tonight at about 8 p.m. Come out and greet these WWII veterans as they land at the airport. There is free parking at the far end of the airport parking lots. Follow the signs and ride the free shuttle down to the airport. Bring the kids too!
