Transwestern Building No. 3 was evacuated Thursday morning, April 14,  due to a report of suspicious powder.

According to Battalion Chief David Gilbert, the fourth floor of the Transwestern Building, 550 N. 31st St., Billings was evacuated after employees reported finding white powder in an envelope.

The report of the white powder came into dispatch at 9:45 a.m.

We were on scene and witnessed the Hazmat Team preparing to go inside the building to investigate the suspicious powder.

At this time there are no reports of any injuries and as far as we could see no ambulances were on site.

Billings Fire Department and Billings Police remained on-site conducting an investigation late Thursday morning.
