Maybe I’m wrong, or misremembering, but didn’t there used to be a ton of bands that played shows in this town? When I moved from Billings to Seattle in ’99 there seemed to me to be a wealth of options if I wanted to go see a show here. I move back in 2010 and there’s nothing. What happened to all the music?

Ah nostalgia. The times, they were different back then. The Grunge scene, both extremely popular and some would argue innovative, had been pushed back underground by ’97. Heavily marketed Pop stars and boy bands were starting to get heavy rotations on radio stations and MTV, seemingly slugging it out with the Ska-influenced Rock bands at the time...
