It's time for one of the oldest rivalries in college football, the annual Brawl of the Wild! This year marks the 112th meeting between the Cats and Griz with the Great Divide trophy on the line!

The rivalry began in 1897, making it the 31st oldest in NCAA Division I and the 11th oldest west of the Mississippi River, as well as the 4th-oldest Football Championship Subdivision rivalry and the oldest FCS rivalry west of the Mississippi. Montana leads the series 70-36-5. The game almost always, especially of late, has major implications on the Big Sky Conference championship and its automatic bid to the Division I FCS tournament.  Q2's Casey Conlon gives us a preview of this weekends big game!

The Great Divide Trophy was created in 2001 by Dave Samuelson. The trophy was made possible by numerous donations. The winner of each game will possess the trophy for one year. The school with the most wins at the end of the 21st century will hold the trophy forever.  Montana was the first school to receive the trophy following their victory in the 2001 game. Since then the trophy has since changed hands six times. As of today, the trophy is in the possession of Montana.

I root for both Montana teams but when it comes to this game all I can say is.... Go Griz!

It looks like both the Bobcats and the Grizzlies have taken it to a whole new level! As reported by our sister station ZoomFM in Missoula and our sister station KISS FM in Bozeman, both colleges have produced their own "Music Videos" supporting their respective football teams. They're in a heated competition to see who can get the most views on YouTube.

Here is the Bobcat's video titled "Blue Bobcat Cup"

Now here is the Grizzlie's video titled "Keep It Grizzly"
