Like we needed another reason to feel really old, the classic film "Pulp Fiction" turns 20 years old next week.  The epic Quintin Tarrantino flick opened in theaters on October 14, 1994.  For my money, it's the greatest film ever made.  And I'm proud to say I saw it in the theater...with my mom.

For some reason, my mom asked if I wanted to go to the movies with her on that fateful evening.  I didn't have anything better to do, so off we went.  I had seen the previews on tv, but had no idea how depraved the flick would be.  So, I suggested to my poor, sweet mom that we should see "Pulp Fiction".

By the time the opening scene was over, my mom was appalled.  She gazed at me with one of those "I'm disappointed in you" looks.  But she was a trooper.  She stayed for the entire movie, even though she turned her head away when Marcellus Wallace was getting violated by Zed.  After the movie, my mom didn't say much, except to point out that she was "concerned about the movies I've been watching".  That was the last time we ever went to the movies together.
