Oscar Nominee Christoph Waltz Makes Us Want to Dance – The Daily Swoon

For our last installment of the Oscars edition of The Daily Swoon, we’re going a bit more international with Christoph Waltz, an actor from Vienna whose cuteness cannot be denied.

Waltz first hit it big in America with his role as the evil Nazi Colonel Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino‘s ‘Inglourious Basterds,’ and since then he’s been piling up interesting parts in movies from ‘Green Hornet’ to ‘Water for Elephants,’ and most recently, Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained.’

In ‘Django,’ Waltz gets to play the good guy for a change — not that we didn’t find him cute before, but the way he acts as Dr. King Schulze in ‘Django,’ delivering his lines with some delightful swagger, it’s hard to not have a crush on him, even with the old-timey facial hair.

Waltz has been acting for a very, very long time, though. The 56-year-old has 101 titles on his acting resume stretching back to 1977, mostly in German films. So we must thank Quentin Tarantino for not only giving us amazing movies, but for giving us this lovely treasure from Vienna.
