A 20-year-old college student has been sentenced to six months in jail, which he’s already served, for making terroristic threats on his Tumblr page.

Caleb Clemmons, a former student at Georgia Southern University, has also been banned from using any form of social media for five years.

Back in February, Clemmons got himself in water with this post:

hello. my name is irenigg and i plan on shooting up georgia southern. pass this around to see the affect it has. to see if i get arrested."

He was arrested later that same day. Clemmons told police he wasn’t serious and that his comment was "an experimental literary piece and an art project.”

Officials investigating the case found no evidence Clemmons planned to follow through on his words, but no matter, since his post constituted a threat of action.
