With the possible exception of country music, we don't get a lot of good concerts here in Billings.  However, this week, we have a few decent rock shows coming to the Magic City.

For the headbangers, popular metal bands Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat will co-headline a big gig tomorrow night at Metra Park. This show also offers local rock fans a rare chance to see legendary Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul up close and personal with his group Hellyeah. Reserved seats are $39.75 and are available at the Metra Park box office or through their website.

Friday night, southern rockers Government Mule pays a visit to the Babcock Theater. The Mule is the side project formed by the great Allman Brothers guitarist Warren Hayes. If you go to show, expect to see some serious shredding from one of the baddest jam bands on the planet.  Tickets are $35 in advance and you can get them here.

Then, one week from tonight, iconic Irish punk rockers The Dropkick Murphys return to the Shrine Auditorium for an evening of moshing and drunken shenanigans. Advanced tickets are available here for $27.50.

Three completely different concerts featuring nationally renowned bands that cover the entire spectrum of rock music.  Not too shabby for Billings.
