Dead Body Found Near Billings Refinery
A call came into the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office on the morning of January 14th at about 8 a.m. of a dead body floating in a ditch south of Billings near the Phillips 66 Refinery.Yellowstone County Sheriff, Mike Linder said an autopsy was scheduled at 3:30 p.m. The autopsy revealed that there was no foul play suspected in the death of the man.
According to reports the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The investigation has determined that the body appears to have been in the ditch for an extended period of time.
It appears the unidentified man died from drowning. The age of the male has not yet been determined. Sheriff Linder said that they will attempt to identify the man through the use of dental records.
