Vivan Campbell, guitar player for Def Leppard says they are in the works for a new album in 2012! Good news!

In an interview with Radio Metal Campbell mentioned that after the release of the live album Mirrorball, he's looking forward to hitting the studio in 2012.  Here it is straight from Campbell:

"It's our intention in 2012 to make another studio album and hopefully we'll lean a little bit toward the rock side of the spectrum."

Campbell went on to say how Def Leppard has been influenced by pop and fusion in the past, especially after Pyromania, but a percentage of fans really want them to get back to their rock roots.  You can check out the whole interview here.

Would you pick up a new Def Leppard album, or will this one quickly find it's way to the 99¢ bin?
