Dogs Coming Back To Billings Parks?

For roughly the past five decades, dogs have been banned from city parks here in Billings. Of course many dog lovers feel that this is an outrageous injustice. In fact, nearly two dozen of them gathered at Tuesday's Animal Control Board meeting to propose lifting the ban.

Personally, I am a big fan of dogs and would have no issue with seeing them in the parks. Of course, the dogs aren't the real issue. The problem is with irresponsible pet owners who fail to collect their dog's poop. No matter how much I love dogs, I will never be okay with turning our parks into minefields of feces.

If the ban is ultimately lifted, I look forward to seeing you dog owners and your furry buddies frolicking in the park. And if you leave your dog's poop for innocent people to step in, I hope you have to pay a hefty fine and swallow at least one small bite of it.
