Here's a story that you won't see on the news this week.  Michelle Leonhart, chief of the Drug Enforcement Administration, testified in front of a congressional subcommittee on Wednesday about potheads who get their dogs stoned.

According to the DEA chief, edible marijuana is the seed of the problem.  Evidently, dogs all over the country are getting into their owners' pot brownie stashes and getting sick.  She told congress that dogs who eat edibles may have difficulty breathing, digestive issues and could suffer from other health problems.

Interesting enough, she didn't discuss pot smokers who blow bong hits into their dog's faces.  While the effects of second hand marijuana exposure on pets are unknown, one thing is for sure.  Blowing hits into your dog's face isn't cool.
