Eagles of Death Metal made their return to Paris last night, playing their first full show in the city since the Nov. 13 concert that was disrupted by a bloody terrorist attack.

The show, which came just a couple of days after the group resumed its tour, took place in the city's Olympia venue and saw Eagles of Death Metal founder and bandleader Josh Homme making a rare live appearance with the band on drums.

"It’s a complex feeling," frontman Jesse Hughes admitted upon kicking off the rescheduled tour. "There’s no simple way to approach it. This is the greatest joy I’ve ever had in my life is being onstage and performing and being with my friends who are the fans of rock 'n' roll. But, you know, there’s a heaviness in my heart that’s difficult to pretend like it’s not there."

The evening's set list, which you can check out below, concluded with the performance of "Speaking in Tongues" that you can watch above. The band also made room for fan requests — as well as a cover of the Rolling Stones classic "Brown Sugar," which you can see here:

While Homme was in Paris with the band, his wife Brody Dalle gave birth to the couple's third child, a baby boy they've named Wolf Dylan Reece Homme. He'll be keeping even busier this spring with the pending release of Post Pop Depression, the new album he produced for Iggy Pop.
