Emergency Siren Test in Billings Tonight April 23rd

Each Spring there is a week set aside in Yellowstone County as Severe Weather Awareness Week and this week is it.The weather preparedness week is set up with the Billings National Weather Service including the testing of Yellowstone County’s emergency sirens.

If all goes well, the emergency sirens will sound all over the county at 6 p.m. tonight.  They will scream for one minute to complete the needed tests.  The sirens will go off in Billings, Huntley, Lockwood, Laurel, Broadview, Custer, Shepherd and Worden.

This county wide siren test is held two times a year, the other being in the Fall.
