Bright n’ Beautiful, which envisions a Yellowstone County that is clean, green and more beautiful to live in, announced today the launch of the 2017 Great American Cleanup. Entering its 19th year, Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program that kicks off each March with events occurring from spring through fall in more than 20,000 communities across the country.

Each year, the Great American Cleanup engages more than 5 million volunteers and participants who take action in their local communities to create positive change and lasting impact. Bright n’ Beautiful, along with other organizations in Keep America Beautiful’s national network of community-based affiliates, plan volunteer events and education programs that help remove litter and debris.

Here is a snapshot of Great American Cleanup events taking place in Yellowstone County during April and May:

 

  • April 29, Billings. Volunteers meet at the community center at 360 N 23rd 8:30am supply pick-up. Cleanup from 9am-1pm.  Pre-register for free lunch.

 

  • April 29, Shepherd. Meet at the community center. Cleanup begins at 9:30.  Free lunch served.

 

  • May 6, Laurel. 9am-5pm with registration, supply pickup, and free lunch at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

 

  • May 6, Huntley and Worden.
