The Rockvale Ramblers 4-H club would like to thank you for another year of helping us to spread the word about our "Flowers Fueling Hope" community service project. This year, we voted to help Amber McQuillan with medical expenses. I have attached the posters and flyers that we are using so you can have the details of her story. We want you to know that we appreciate your continued partnership in helping us make this a success for those in need in our community.  Flower Sale is 7/2 and 7/3.

Please note that 100% of the profits raised by this community service project goes to the families or organizations that the kids identify and then vote on, to raise the money for. Among the recipients since 2011, besides families needing help with medical expenses, are the Joliet Food Bank; cots for the Joliet Volunteer Firemen; money for paint and repairs for the Joliet City Hall and more. Since 2011, the kids in this small club have managed to raise over $30,000!

These 4-H members spend months planning and preparing for the sale and then put in as long as 14 hours, each day of the two day event. They love telling the people who come to get flowers and donate money about who is receiving the funds that are raised, while they help each "customer" find the perfect plants and then carry them to the car. In some cases, the kids actually help them plant them at their home or surprise businesses on main street by filling their planters with free flowers. It is definitely a labor of love for these kids and a great opportunity to serve and make a difference. None of this would not be possible without you helping us to get the word out about this important community service project
