Foreigner’s Mick Jones Subject of Upcoming Documentary

Mick Jones has made his share of memories, with and without Foreigner.

Besides playing a key role in hits like ‘Jukebox Hero‘ and ‘I Want to Know What Love Is,’ Jones has also produced albums by Billy Joel and Van Halen and co-written songs with Ozzy Osbourne and Eric Clapton. He’s a former member of Spooky Tooth, and even opened for the Beatles, at the ripe old age of 19.

Sounds like the makings of a great rock film, right? Jones thought so, too.

“There’s sort of a biography-documentary that’s gonna be in the making within the next six months,” Jones tells VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner via Blabbermouth. “It’s tentatively called ‘A Foreigner’s Tale,’ so that’s kind of an exciting prospect, to get my life together and look at it. It’s been a long career in music and it’s taken me all over the world to strange places, and some hilarious, some scary experiences. I figured I’d share them, at last.”

A teaser for the documentary, which Jones says will be made available internationally, has been posted to Foreigner’s web site. The band is continuing dates on its Soundtrack of Summer tour with Styx and Don Felder through July 27.
