Poor Emily Marsh. Her condition has left her at a loss for words.

The 13-year-old girl has been suffering from the hiccups for the last 10 weeks. She first started on her way to math class one day and it hasn’t stopped since.

Emily mother’s says they have reached the end of their rope:

Absolutely nothing has worked. We have tried hypnotherapy and osteopathy but we are now completely running out of ideas. Emily takes it all in her stride. She’s just got to the stage where she’s fed up and wants them to go. I can understand -- if you have hiccups for 10 to 15 minutes it’s horrible.”

The family has tried everything, although there might be another avenue to look into if given the chance.

Emily has gone to a hospital for tests, all of which are inconclusive because doctors can’t find anything wrong with her.

Emily still has a ways to go before she makes any sort of history. American Charles Osborne owns the record for having the longest streak of hiccups – 68 years. He started hiccupping in 1922 and didn’t stop until 1990.

Hang in there, Emily.
