There’s no love lost between Godsmack singer Sully Erna and Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.

As to whether the Godsmack song ‘Cryin’ Like a B—’ was written specifically about Sixx — well, Erna isn’t confirming the rumor, but he isn’t exactly denying it, either.

In a recent interview with Q103 radio in Albany, N.Y., Erna was asked point-blank, “Was that song written about Nikki Sixx?”

Erna responded with a chuckle, then said, “It’s very difficult for me to restrain myself from answering that question because as honest as I’d like to be, the other side of me doesn’t want to give anybody the extra exposure, even if it’s negative. So, I’m just gonna plead the fifth.”

The bad blood between Erna and Sixx goes back to summer 2009′s Crue Fest 2 tour, during which Erna made it clear he didn’t like how Godsmack was treated. Sixx subsequently said, “Every person — from road crew, fans and even all the bands on the tour [including Godsmack] — was so happy, but [Erna] just seems to be crying like a b—.”

In ‘Cryin’ Like a B—,’ the first song on the band’s 2010 album, ‘The Oracle,’ Erna belts out such lines as, “Strut on by like a king / Telling everybody they know nothing / Long lived what you thought you were / Time ain’t on your side anymore.”
