How Cold Do You Let Your House Get?

Do you have that one family member who likes the house really cold or way too hot? At 9am, it was 62 degrees in my house. This is partly my fault because we have had such a warm winter.  I have three of these electronic thermostats that have multiple functions.  You can set the temperature for when you are sleep, away, or at home.  I really only have to try to figure out all of the programming twice a year: spring and fall. Since it was so nice up until Saturday night I kind of forgot to reset for winter.  I'll work on the programming tonight.

Another reason the house may be SO cold is that I went around the house and found three windows not shut or sealed all of the way.  I guess with minus 25 degree windchill temperatures that might have something to do with it, too.  Next project?  I'll put all new batteries in the smoke alarms.  I had them all go off at 12:30 a.m. this morning.  Nothing like the loud annoying chirps going off in the middle of the night, while I'm huddled under the covers trying to stay warm!
