How Do You Feel Shopping At the Mall These Days? [AUDIO]
With the senseless shooting at the Clackamas Mall outside of Portland, Oregon I am just curious of your comfort level of shopping around Billings for the remainder of the Holiday season.
I was at Rimrock Mall on Wednesday night, a day after the Oregon incident and my first thought was about the shooting of a day earlier at the Clackamas Mall where 10,000 shoppers were in the holiday shopping spirit until 22 year old Jacob Tyler Roberts started shooting up Macy’s heading to the food court! Earlier during the Billings Morning News on FM Newsradio 95 I tried to get information about a change in security at the Rimrock mall due to what happened at the Clackamas Mall. Will security be heightened? Are there any measures we should take as shoppers?
I received a prepared statement this morning from Rimrock Mall management:
We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragedy in Oregon. Our prayers and condolences remain with the families of the victims. The safety of our shoppers is our top priority – we have a thorough security program in place at our center and work closely with law enforcement to address specific issues.

I had a rant about the whole mall security thing on the Billings Morning News before I received the statement above. Please listen!
