How Montana Politicians Feel About Syria
With all of the news and talk about going into Syria, the U.S., depending upon where you live are against military action in Syria at least in Montana.Congressman Steve Daines held an old fashioned town hall meeting via telephone on Monday night to get Montanans’ views on the matter.
The plan was for Steve Daines team to call 100,000 residents in Montana to listen to our opinion.
Congressman Steve Daines said on Facebook:
“I appreciate all of the feedback Montanans like you have given me about Syria. Your views on this are clear. I will be voting no on military action in Syria.”
It is not completely clear if Montana’s opinion will matter in the possible military move . The threat of this action was brought on by Syria’s chemical weapons attack that killed about 1400 of its own people. The latest national polls show overwhelming opposition to a U.S. military attack on Syria.
President Obama will address the nation on the Syrian crisis tonight at 9 p.m. E.D.T. (9/10/13)
Were you one of the 100,000 Montanans that got the “town hall call” on September 9th? If you have an opinion on this world wide matter, please leave us a comment.
