This Saturday, June 17th, the Billings Public Library and The Friends of the Library are hosting the 4th Annual Swing into Summer Block Party.  Now before you stock up on your adult beverages and get out your party clothes, remember THIS IS a library.  This Block Party kicks off the Summer Reading programs for kids, teens and adults.  The Party "rocks" out at the Library's parking garden and the Community Room.  They get help from the Billings Kiwanis Club, The Sons of Norway, Wise Wonders plus Facepainting from Walking Canvas.

Music is provided by Spur of the Moment and those party animal Library staffers and volunteers will have games, crafts and green screen photo's.  I guess there is a chance to see a full size viking ship replica.

I have yet to make it to the new Library.  I guess that shows me devotion to reading books.  However, I am looking at the roof of the new library from my office everyday.  That should count for something?  Guess it's time to find my reading glasses and get the tour.  This Saturday, 11-2 at 510 North Broadway.  Shhhh, no term paper will be due!
