Jimmy Fallon Brings Kissing Puppies and Kittens to ‘The Tonight Show’

Human nature can be so predictable. There are plenty of things that nearly all human beings like, and ’The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon managed to cannily cram two of those things into one little video last night on his show.

First, human beings love animals. Get real with yourself, you know you love them. Second, human beings love beating a parody of something popular into the ground. (This, of course, is the entire reason for the internet.) With ‘First Lick,’ Fallon combines both things, putting a spin on a recent viral video, ‘First Kiss,’ that asked perfect strangers to make out with each other by using stranger animals in their place. Is it funny to watch unfamiliar puppies lick each other onscreen? Weirdly, yes.
