While Steven Tyler's going country, his Aerosmith bandmate Joe Perry is going pop. With the band on hiatus while Tyler readies his country-inspired debut solo album, Perry has been freed up to pursue some outside projects — including guesting on "Bad Man," a new single from pop star Pitbull that also features appearances from blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and singer Robin Thicke. You can listen to the song above.

Pitbull premiered the cut during the 2016 Grammy Awards, which found Perry pulling double duty by guesting on "Bad Man" as well as turning out for a Lemmy tribute by Alice Cooper's Hollywood Vampires band. The Grammy performance also included some dancing from Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, who was dressed like a taxi.

Perry has been spending a fair amount of time in Pitbull's entourage lately — aside from the Grammys, he'll also be on hand Feb. 18 for a performance of "Bad Man" at Premio Lo Nuestro in Miami, and in between, the performers stopped off at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to play the song for Fallon's studio audience. Watch that performance here.

Perry, who later thanked fans on Twitter for tuning in, is also in the midst of another non-Aerosmith project that fans of the band might take a more immediate liking to: Late last year, he announced he was working on his next solo record, which looks likely to be a largely instrumental affair.
