Lazy Billings Teenagers Refuse To Shovel Snow for $10

Remember when we were kids and our parents forced us to go outside and shovel snow?  When I was growing up, I was convinced that the only reason people had kids was to make them scrape ice off the windshield and shovel the sidewalk.  Sadly, today's generation of kids is too lazy to leave the house on a cold day.

Case in point, Staci is our Director of Digital Sales here at Townsquare Media.  Over the weekend, she offered her neighbor kids a sweet deal.  For $5, they could shovel her sidewalk (which isn't very big).  Or three kids could split up the work and she'd give them $10.  The lazy little bastards said no.  It wasn't worth their time; they wanted $20.  When we were kids, $5 was a goldmine.

The story gets worse.  When she told the parents that their kids were too lazy to shovel her sidewalk, the parents agreed with their spoiled brats.  One of the parents even said, "we're not sure if we want him to shovel snow".  Oh, those precious little snowflakes, they're so delicate.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, if my neighbors had asked me to shovel their sidewalk and I said no, my dad would have smacked me upside the head, handed me the shovel and made me do it for free.
