Lewis And Clark Middle School Lock Down [AUDIO]
At about 8:30 on the morning of September 10, 2013 Lewis and Clark Middle school in Billings was placed under lock down for a short while.Imagine the look on students and teachers faces when Billings Police showed up to the school with assault rifles and other firearms.
The Billings P.D. entered the building, made a sweep of the school and exited a short time later. The lock down was cleared at that time. All with-in a 30 minute time frame.
I had the chance to talk with Superintendent of School District two, Terry Bouck at Lewis and Clark shortly after the incident:
…the problem today started yesterday when a few students said another student threatened violence with a gun, the student was removed and placed into a alternative setting-Terry Bouck
…Today that student didn’t show up at the alternative setting and that alarmed the staff that he may have entered Lewis and Clark Middle School which prompted the lock down…the student was later located away from the school-Terry Bouck
