Kirk Hammett's inaugural Fear FestEvil keeps getting more appealing, with the Metallica guitarist announcing a few more details about the horror-meets-music event. Today, Hammett revealed that he will be gracing the stage, joining two of the festival's headliners --- Exodus and Death Angel -- for their encores.

The event is scheduled for Feb. 6-8 at San Francisco's Regency Ballroom, with Exodus joined by Carcass on the Friday bill, while Death Division and Orchid will play in front of Death Angel on Saturday. The shows should be something special as Hammett, along with Exodus and Death Angel, all have Bay Area ties. In fact, Hammett was the founding guitarist of Exodus before leaving to join Metallica.

In a press release, Exodus guitarist Gary Holt exclaims, "Exodus is stoked as f--- to announce that none other than Kirk Von Hammett himself will be jamming with us during our encore at FEAR FestEvil! What song? Hmm, that remains to be seen! I guess you will have to be there to find out!"

In other Fear FestEvil news, Hammett has also announced that Sara Karloff, the daughter of horror legend Boris Karloff, will attend the event. She'll join a host of horror film stars at the inaugural bash, where Hammett also intends to showcase his extensive horror film and memorabilia collection. Other guests include Bela Lugosi Jr., Kane Hodder, PJ Soles, Slash, Scott Ian and many more.
