If people need financial relief from rising flight costs, the Transportation Security Administration can probably help.

The TSA has released data which determined it collected -- are you ready for this? -- $675,000 in loose change in airports in 2014. Hey, that's just about enough to grab a croissant and small coffee while you wait for your delayed flight.

Kennedy Airport in New York City paved the way, with more than $42,000.

The $675,000 is up from $638,000 in 2013 and an enormous increase from the $383,000 recovered in 2008.

While the TSA does try to give back forgotten items to passengers, the agency does keep loose change that is never claimed and can use it for security purposes.
