Mother’s Day Big Sky Honor Flight Takes Off
Sunday, May 11th is not only special for Mothers everywhere, it being Mother’s Day but also a special day for about 100 WWII Veterans flying to Washington D.C.May 11th is the final flight for the Big Sky Honor Flight! This will put the Honor Flights well over 700 Montana vets that flew to D.C. over the last two years to visit their memorials and monuments constructed in their honor.
The plane takes off for a non-stop flight early on Sunday morning and returns to Billings Monday evening at about 7:45 p.m. Please make an effort to be one of the hundreds who will show up to welcome our WWII vets back from their final journey!
Meet at Billings Logan International Airport at about 7:30 p.m. on May 12th. There is free parking on the upper lots and a free shuttle is available to bring you to the terminal area of the airport.
