National Teacher Appreciation Day

Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day.  I'm proud to be the father of a teacher.  Teachers have such a huge impact on students.  Over my years many many years ago, the teachers that influenced me were, 4th grade Mrs Jones, 7th grade Ms. Dutcher, 8th grade Mr. Hedin,  9th grade Ms. Quilico and high school Ms. Talley.  I find it interesting that if you run into someone who went to the same school you did, they will comment on the same teachers.  As you get older you start to understand why those teachers had such an impact on you.  Maybe they were tough on you when you needed it.  Maybe they took the time to give you more attention.  Maybe they took time with you because you were going through a rough patch in your life.  Whatever it is, salute the teachers that work hard to educate.
