Days after being admitted to the hospital for treatment to repair a brain aneurysm, Saxon drummer Nigel Glockler has undergone a second round of surgery.

As previously reported, the British heavy metal stalwarts postponed a series of tour dates after Glockler was initially admitted, with frontman Biff Byford telling fans, "Nigel, our friend and brother, is in the hospital in the U.K. having tests to find a bleed on his brain ... we all pray that Nige can pull through this! At the moment, all shows have been rescheduled to 3/4/5/6/7 of February 2015." Unfortunately, as Glockler's wife Gina shared on Facebook, the initial surgery didn't clear up his condition, and his doctors have had to make a second attempt.

"Nigel had surgery today for the brain aneurysm, but unfortunately it was not successful with the first option, so he will be undergoing another operation tomorrow," she wrote. "I've been reading him all of your messages and posts, and he is so very touched by them. Thank you all for the love and support, it means the world to us. Please keep the good vibes, prayers and juju coming his way."

As of this writing, Glockler appears to be in surgery; the band recently posted its own Facebook update, writing, "Nigel Glockler is in surgery. As soon as we have an update from his family, we will post here. Please keep Nigel in your prayers!" Please join us in sending those good vibes and juju, and check back for more news; we'll update this story as new information becomes available.
