Police Standoff Finally Ends

Since 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Missoula Police were involved in a standoff with a man in a mobile home on Missoula’s Northside.The standoff went on through the day as well as most of the night.  As of about 3:30 a.m. this morning the standoff had ended.

At 2 p.m. Monday it was reported that there was gun fire aimed at the Armored Rescue Vehicle.  According to reports there was also a woman being held hostage inside the residence at Cooley and Burn Street.  The woman came out of the trailer at 2:00 a.m. A short time later the suspect emerged and was taken into custody.

There were no residents, occupants of the home or Police injured during the 21 hour standoff.
