Michael Toole of Las Vegas, Nevada lost his beloved 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo when it was stolen outside of a gym. Now he’s found it and he wants it back.

O’Toole discovered his rare missing car on a container ship bound for the Netherlands thanks to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Department who ran the vehicle’s identification number and discovered it was stolen. The vehicle had changed owners several times in several different states before it ended up on the cargo ship.

AOL Autos discovered the car and reported its whereabouts to the original owner. He had written the car off as a loss and collected the insurance on it, but he still longs for its return and wants to buy it back from the insurance company.

O’Toole told the AOL blog that a day hasn’t gone that he hasn’t missed that car. This should make even the most bitter gearhead should be tearing up at the thought of such a warm reunion between man and his long lost machine.
