Possible Big Horn River Drowning Near Hardin

The amount of flow from the Yellowtail Dam into the Bighorn River near Hardin was slowed on Tuesday night as well as Wednesday, August 13th.The request was made by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department to help with search efforts of a missing person who is suspected of drowning in the Big Horn River.

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office has refused to release anymore information on the case and has referred additional questions to the BIA(Bureau of Indian Affairs) agency’s public affairs office in Washington D.C.

The Bureau of Reclamation department has warned the public to avoid the Two Leggins area if possible along the Big Horn River.
