A few weeks ago, the first trailer for 'R.I.P.D.' exploded on the 'net, prompting many to accuse the film of looking like a 'Men in Black' ripoff for substituting aliens with evil spirits. Now a new poster for the Jeff Bridges-Ryan Reynolds horror adventure has appeared, and... well, we're still thinking it looks a lot like 'Men in Black.'

As you can see below, this 'R.I.P.D.' poster (coming courtesy of Empire) features its leading duo striking cop poses with impressive firepower, while a police car inexplicably flies upward towards a hellish sky. (Notice the car is holding a creepy passenger as well.) Then we peek at the tagline: "Defending Our World One Soul at a Time." Certainly a little reminiscent of 'MIB's' tagline: "Protecting the Earth from the Scum of the Universe'.

In any event, the movie will still offer a fun time, potentially, if only because it's hard to ignore the coolness of the cast: Bridges, Reynolds, Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Bacon, supermodel Marisa Miller and the immortal James Hong. You can't screw up an ensemble like that, can you? (...Perhaps we spoke too soon.)

'R.I.P.D.' opens on July 19 -- in 3D, of course.
