Roadwatch Montana – Very Strong Winds
Motorist need to be aware of strong winds that will make travel difficult along I-90 from Reed Point to the Bozeman pass and along the foothills of the Beartooth and Absaroka mountains including the town of Nye through this evening…strong cross winds can especially make travel difficult for high profile vehicles and towing units.
Roads in the Billings area are either mostly clear or partially snow packed and icy.
I-90 from Reed Point to Springdale…scattered snow and ice…The MDT is reporting severe winds in the Livingston area causing all semi’s and towing units to detour through Livingston using exit 337 or 330.
I-90 from Billings to the Wyoming line…Mostly dry with snow cover on the shoulders.
I-94 from the Ballantine to Big Horn…icy sections with areas of blowing and drifting…Big Horn to the Rosebud/Treasure county line…scattered snow and ice with the driving lane mostly dry…from there to the North Dakota line…scattered snow and ice.
US-310 from Laurel to Rockvale and US-212 from Rockvale to Red Lodge… MT-78 from Red Lodge to Columbus and Mt-72 from Bridger to the Wyoming line…scattered snow and ice.
US-87 from Billings to roundup…mostly dry with scattered snow and ice.
