As we've learned over the past year, there's no challenge that Rob Scallon isn't afraid to try. The musician has become a YouTube sensation for his unique renditions of metal tracks and for his latest clip, he's recorded Metallica's "Enter Sandman" backwards.

But saying he recorded the track backwards is perhaps simplifying things a bit. Scallon actually played and sang the song backwards, then reversed the video so that he covers the entire song forwards. It definitely makes for a more sinister-sounding track. As Scallon says, "It's definitely the most confusing thing I've done so far." And for those wanting to see the video just the opposite, he's also posted a "forwards" version of the video below.

Making the clip even more entertaining, Scallon offers some fun visuals like un-eating a pretzel, being de-silly stringed and bit by bit emerging from a pile of Styrofoam popcorn. Check out the eye-catching clip in full above.

And it looks as though there may be more Metallica covers coming from Scallon. He reveals at the end of the clip that he's designating May as "May-Tallica" and planning a new video each week. Stay tuned and check out some of his other videos at his YouTube channel.
